Do you give a price before you visit?+
Usually, yes. Send us photos or a video, or talk us through the problem over the phone. Once we have enough information, we'll agree a fixed price before arranging the repair visit.
If we need to investigate in person first, we'll explain our £49.99 diagnostic service and agree it with you before booking. You'll then receive a fixed price for the repair, with the diagnostic charge credited against it if you go ahead.
Is there a call-out fee?+
No — we don't charge a call-out fee. We normally assess the problem from photos, video or a phone conversation and agree a fixed price before visiting.
Occasionally, we need to investigate in person before we can quote. In that case, we offer a separate diagnostic visit for £49.99, agreed with you before booking. This pays for our time to identify the problem and establish a fixed price for the repair.
If you go ahead with the repair, the full £49.99 is credited against the repair price, so you don't pay it on top. If you decide not to proceed, the £49.99 covers the diagnostic service you've received.
What does my fixed price cover?+
Your fixed price covers the job as described and agreed. If we find that the work required is substantially different from what you told us, we'll explain the difference and agree any revised price with you before carrying out that work.
How quickly can you come out?+
You can send an enquiry at any time — our assistant replies 24 hours a day, and we pick up messages personally through the evening. Repair visits are booked in advance, Monday to Friday, normally 09:00–16:00, and we don't attend on Sundays. Please send photos or video first so we can assess the job before arranging a visit. The assistant replies straight away, but our own reply may take a little longer at busy times.
Do you offer emergency call-outs?+
We don't offer a 24-hour emergency call-out service. If you have an urgent problem, you can send an enquiry at any time — our assistant replies 24 hours a day, and messages are picked up personally through the evening. Repair visits are booked in advance, Monday to Friday.
Do you only do small jobs?+
We specialise in domestic plumbing repairs — taps, toilets, leaks, radiators, showers, and pipework. We don't do new builds or full bathroom installations.
Are you qualified and insured?+
Yes. Our plumber is a registered member of the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE/RP), with over 25 years' experience and full public liability insurance.
When do I pay?+
Payment is taken on completion of the work. We accept cash, card, and bank transfer.
